In contrast to the Dubdances and the earlier Groundation at Fun - this was a casual 'Rubadub' session - a kind of reggae open mike. Since Kush was on the podium Ari-Up did her best to MC matters from the floor. Fun is a warehouse-type building under the Manhattan bridge loaded with projection gear of which Leesaw took full visual advantage, but otherwise there was little light to shoot by. The first short clip 'Babylon' is Ari improvving on a reggae classic. The second is a longer piece from later in the night. Sister Sarah - a visitor from the West Coast - exposes her singing talent to all's surprise. As Ari bigs her up Kush let's go a newly minted dubplate of Ari's own 'Babylon Grown Ups' song. The camera wanders as the tune plays. Prince Collin joins in - and then Kush - while Ari dances to Leesaw's backdrop.
