'stars, guitars, and muscle cars'

i have known Kevin for some years, and come to recognize his beatlesque talent as a musician. Running into him recently, he invited me down to tape his current outfit The Mynks. They turned out to be catchy melodic rock. A snakehipped aniston of a singer is accompanied by two more girls on guitars and harmonies. A classic combination of duelling fender and gibson is supercharged by Kevin's intelligent bass and a very solid drummer. The songs are good, simple and memorable. Despite this being the coldest Jan 15 night in NYC since 1893, they put on a show hot enough to banish the deepest chill.
