'NYC loves potty'

This was a Friday Todd P show set to take place in the Flux Factory, an industrial loft in Queens. When I arrived, in a pouring rainstorm, the venue was surrounded by fire engines, and the entrance jammed with members of New York's bravest, who decided to shut down the show. Frantic cell phone calls were made and the whole thing relocated to Stinger, a hip hop bar in Williamsburg, where, at least, two of the scheduled bands got to play - X27, cos it was their CD release party - and Coachwhips, cos they'd come all the way from SF. Not to mention that their previous NYC date, at the Happy Birthday Hideout, had suffered a similar fate. The tiny Stinger was so jammed that, especially during Coachwhips, with the crowd going nuts, I had to crawl onto the stage to shoot. Within days of the show Stinger announced that they would no longer do 'rock' shows.

And yes i have knocked up a VCD of the show, 10 from X27 and 14 from Coachwhips, altho I had trouble naming most of the songs. Hopefully, after the bands get their copies, i'll be able fix that up. But, such as it is, you can get a copy from the pinstand for $4 inc. mail ($5 foreign) - if interested email orders@pinstand.com with the subject=VCD280, and I'll let you know the process, or just paypal straight in at that address.
