'there's something wrong with me'

Touchdown's quirky math-rock has long been a favorite at punkcast (see #50) but we thought them no more, having heard that Miss Emily was in a new band - Wikkid. So it was a pleasant surprise to see them listed at one of ToddP's Right Bank spectaculars - an even more pleasant surprose to find them still playing despite our typically late arrival. The camera was whipped out and we then had even yet another surprise - Emily singing! On not one, but two or three tunes. The songs were personal, sensitive, and similarly angular as the music. I was charmed by the one included here, about falling out of love.

And yes i have knocked up a VCD of the show, despite lateness you get 8 songs. Gentle on the eyes as, as usual at the upstairs room at the Right Bank, there was practically no light except that coming in the window from the nearby Williamsburg Bridge and the Manhattan skyline, which I have monochromed and tinted as you'll see in the clip. One does have to strain a little to make out the vocals, but it's thoroughly enjoyable all the same. So, until Emily says stop, you can get one from the pinstand for $4 inc. mail ($5 foreign) - if interested email orders@pinstand.com with the subject=VCD246, and I'll let you know the process. Or just paypal straight into that address.
